the water was cold, but it was like 65-70 degrees outside. dave's lips were blue for about 5 hours after the first swimming stint
(even after a warm bath), but i couldn't drag him out.
you are all invited to come visit us and we can caravan to the lovely jamaica beach (in galveston):) ... or as dave called it... the "chocolate ocean".
The water was cold, but it still wasn't as cold as the Pacific around Oregon and Washington, even in the hottest part of the summer. Thank you, stinky, murky, yet warm Gulf of Mexico.
