Mooo!

Our last full day was spent with the cousins at the Children's Discovery Museum at the Gateway. I... I mean... Dave had a lot of fun. Seriously- it was fun for the adults too, though. I am looking for something as cool in this area to go to.

I miss the Gateway!! Can you guess who took the picture? I'll give you one hint- it's crooked.

Mouse House.

The wicked awesome PVC pipe xylophone. Mike is going to build us one for our house ( I hope!).

Ryan, the crane operator.

Dave is taking after his Momma and ringing up groceries. Ahh Macey's... those were the days.

Dave learned how to slide down on his belly. It works out much better than going on his butt because he inevitably leans over too far.

Lights

One of my favorite Christmas passtimes in Utah- the lights at Temple square. Ever since Andi's grandpa almost locked me out of the house when I went to see them with some friends- they have been my own personal Christmas tradition.

A Day In The Bubble

We headed down to Provo on day to live it up behind Zion's Curtain. It was our first time back in Provo since we moved to Texas over a year ago. I must say, although it felt like home- I don't miss the winter. I miss the mountains and some old friends, but I enjoy my warm weather (and family) in Texas. Also- I really miss Cafe Rio. I think I may start a one down here in Texas. I wonder how well it would do? We ate there in Provo with our friend Ian. Unfortunately Amy's tummy was sick so I didn't get to rub the baby belly... Maybe I will get to see the baby after she comes out... And I promise I won't rub your belly then Amy.
We had fun on Campus. Dave was Mike's coat.
Walking up the staircase at the new Humanities building. The new alumni center seems like it will be pretty cool, too. It's a good thing because, as we all know- the campus is our world.
We played one of our favorite games. Can you find the Y?
I did.
Then we went out to dinner with some of the old Vocal Point fellows- which was fun.
Dave hated the Naked Indian.

But he loved fry sauce. I can't blame him. In fact, fry sauce might almost be good enough to make me want to move back to Utah.
And last but not least, to be extra stalkerish- we drove by our old apartment and took a picture. I couldn't get that song This is Where We Used to Live out of my head after that.

Pics of the family at Christmas. I'm almost done with the Christmas blogging, by the way. What will I blog about next? Interesting question...

Shane- am I forgiven for not posting your pic from the family reunion? You're famous now.

People after my own heart. Picture takers.

Aubry with the ever lovely Grammie G. Jacey did her make up (Aubry, not Grammie G).

This one is just me being choked by a huge boa constricter. I got better.

The boa just gave Dave a hug.

Ahh cousins. This was one of the rare moments when they weren't taking toys from each other, screaming "MINE!", or hitting each other in the head with plastic guitars.

Are all women named Jen hot??

This picture is me looking happy before I realized I lost my favorite bracelet that I got in Italy. It was red leather with snaps and slits in the front. I have combed ebay looking for a new one to no avail. Anyone planning a trip to Europe soon? I
l'll pay you to get me a new one.
I'm serious.

Hoorah!

Turbulence is Awesome.

Dave loved the airplane. Vroom Vroom.

Christmas in the Terminal.

After the grand festival of gifts in Texas, this is how we spent the rest of our Christmas day.... Asleep on the floor of the Tulsa airport. (We slept on Mike's coat for the sake of you germaphobes out there.) Granted it's not the soundest idea to take a one year old on a plane ride after a total of three hours of sleep in 48 hours. All I can say is, thank goodness I am not a single parent (not that I have anything against single parents, but it would be tough, ya know?), and also thank goodness my child sleeps well with some ambient background noise (and a coat over his head).

Christmas dinner consisted of TGI Fridays dippable cheeseburgers (compliments of Delta). We finally made it (after about a 4 hours delay) to SLC around 10:30 pm. All the family stuck around to see us, which was nice!

Back blogging.

As per request, here are some pictures of David opening "everything he asked for" in Christmas morning (and by "everything" I mean "one green John Deer Tractor") I couldn't get him to open any other gifts after the tractor. So lucky me, I got to open everything I asked for and more (by more I mean "the gifts Dave wouldn't open because all he wanted was a green John Deer Tractor").

My blog hits are down to 16 a day now, which is a far cry from my almost 50 a day at peak (49 of them being me checking to see if anyone posted). However, I pledge to be a more regular blogger now that I the holidays are over. I have other resolutions, too...
Being the mom of a one year old and working full time is almost as tough as trying to rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time (or is that the other way around?), but I will try to do better. I can't believe I've almost made it to my one year mark at work.... doesn't seem that long...
Anyway- here are the rest of the pictures. Aren't those snowman jammies precious??
