We didn't fret after hiking down to the Inner Harbor for dinner only to find three restaurants open and no running water due to sewage contamination of the water. We ate our crab cakes and fried tilapia sandwiches with happy hearts- grateful that someone was selling bottled water and we didn't have to drink beer (as the server at the restaurant told us was our only option).
Emily chalked it all up to bad karma- saying everything had gone too well that day (her car trip to Baltimore and mine on the plane) and we had already used up all of our good luck. It was in that moment that I knew that getting married, moving across the country , having a kid and rich dentist husband didn't change this girl. This was my old friend Emily, up for any adventure (Perhaps sneaking into the Pro Pit at the BYU track and watching movies and roasting hot dogs on a propane grill... Going to the Heber Hot Springs with the entire BYU men's volleyball team and watching Chris Gorney stand on a rock- sans Speedo... "Decorating" people's lawns with road signs and tortillas ... whatever your pleasure).

4 people are wicked awesome. to Bad Karma in Baltimore.:
The harbor picture is awesome!!!!! And not even the slightest bit crooked :)
and also...wow. chris gorney. glad we didn't rehash THAT disaster while you were here!
i left the part out about how you used to moon me while drying your hair. aren't you glad? i love you:)
M is the best road trip buddy you will ever have. she can really roll with the punches. Like the time we almost ran out of gas in the middle of the Arizona desert, and litrally rolled into the gas station on fumes, or when we went to Mexico and almost got kidnapped. All this, really makes me miss the roommate days.
