The Day Mike Got His "Gem" Slicked.

We had a little mishap with one of our favorite snack foods the other day. Mike purchased some chocolate donut gems for a Sunday morning/afternoon snack on Saturday night. I worked the night before, so Mike was in charge of keeping an eye on and protecting our young lad from danger. Generally Mike is a very attentive parent (probably more so than even me), but on this particular Sunday Mike fell asleep in the living room while Dave was watching one of his kid's shows.
Dave is a tall kid and sometimes we underestimate what he can and can't reach. Even things that are pushed far back on our table often find their way into his mouth. Last Sunday was no exception. Mike woke up to find donut gems crumbled into little piles all over the living room floor, and Dave, smeared with chocolate, happily sitting in front of the TV enjoying his little snack. Even bear-bear had chocolate smudges on his face. At least there were approximately five (5) donut gems left for me when I woke up.
My son is a child after my own heart.

At least he picked a good snack and not something like glue...or paste.

That's awesome. We learned the other day that the childproof caps on cough syrup aren't really childproof. Luckily the wee one didn't drink it...just dumped it on the carpet!
